Man Loses Life after betting it to Backgammon Game

Sergei Smirnitsky is a citizen of Moscow and was recently arrested on murder charges after he attempted to get a neighbor to help him remove a body from his flat. The neighbor called the police and Smirnitsky was arrested for killing Vasily Lobozov after Lobozov offered his life if he lost a game of backgammon. (24/11)

City of Venice Backgammon Tournament Scheduled for November

The City of Venice Backgammon Tournament will begin its twentieth go round this November as the last stop on the 2008 European Backgammon Tour. The event will take place on the 28th through the 30th at the ca’ vendramin calergi, which holds the casino of Venice in its center. (19/11)

2008 Bodrum Open Championship Results

October 10th-12th was the dates for the Bodrum Open Championship, a major backgammon tournament of the WBF Turkey. The event was held at the Delfi Hotel in Bodrum, Turkey. This is the fifth leg of the tour and the Main Event is Double Elimination Play. (05/11)
