The Portuguese Open will one of many stops on the European Backgammon Tour for 2009 and recently it was announced that TrueMoneyGames will be the official sponsor of the Portugal stop. The event will run from May 12th to the 27th at the Estoril casino.

Other confirmed stops on the tour so far are in Georgia, Italy and France. The format for the Portugal tournament has not been released but is expected to be announced in the near future. In the meantime TrueMoneyGames will be holding online qualifiers for the Portuguese Open. TrueMoneyGames will be the only site offering the qualifiers.
