Hugh Hefner, the genius behind Playboy, is known to enjoy a nice quiet game of backgammon. He plays on a regular basis with friends, family or anyone he can get to sit down to a game. A recent weekly game turned into craziness when police showed up after receiving a phone call of shots fired. (25/05)

Chiva Tafazzoli Encourages Jamaicans to Continue Playing Backgammon

The 4th High Stakes Backgammon Championship took place recently at Strawberry Hills in Jamaica and Chiva Tafazzoli, the head of the World Backgammon Association, played in the completion to try and keep his title as the champion. While there, Tafazzoli saw the advancement of Jamaican players in the game of backgammon and he is encouraging them to continue to compete to get even better. (20/05)

Play65, the online backgammon room, has created a Board of Trustees to help keep the online backgammon site free of cheaters, mainly those who use bots to win games.
