The 29th Chicago Open Backgammon Tournament is scheduled for Memorial Day Weekend which is the 22nd through the 25th. The tournament will take place at the Holiday Inn Select at O’Hare International Airport and is an invitation only event.

Players must pay their tournament fees and bring their own backgammon board and digital clock to participate. The weekend will include a Main Event as well as several side events in different skill levels. Players will also have the option to reenter after they have been eliminated from certain tournaments.

The Main tournament will have a Beginner level which costs $30 to enter, an Intermediate level which costs $100 to enter and the Championship level which costs $300 to enter. Side events include: $30 Blitz, $80 Limited Jackpot, doubles tournament, seniors tournament and the Memorial Day Masters.

Players have until May 11th to pre-register and registration fees include access to lectures, game play and food services. Registration opens on Friday May 22nd and will be followed by a few side events. The final registration will be taken on the morning of May 23rd and play will begin in all divisions.
