Many businesses sponsor gambling events to raise money for certain charities or organizations. When these events become popular they begin to run annually for people to enjoy and benefit from.

Hurkan Sayman, accountants, is sponsoring their annual backgammon competition in June. Players will be competing for the Nilufer Cup and the Octopus Restaurant in Enfield will be where the backgammon tournament will take place.

The backgammon tournament has limited entry so interested players should register to be sure and get a spot. Only one hundred and twenty eight players can compete and the buy-in is £30 which includes lunch.

Proceeds from the backgammon tournament will benefit the Edmonton Rangers Football Team under 11’s and the Enfield Mayor’s chosen charities. This is a local tournament in the area and many players are expected to attend.
