Backgammon Tournament to be hosted by Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center
A backgammon tournament will be held at the Boundary Bay Brewery beer garden in Bellingham, Washington to raise money for the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center. This is the first time the center has hosted a backgammon tournament and the name of the event is Compete for a Cause.The tournament will take place on May 30th at 9 am and continue until 3 pm. There is no age limit or experience level needed to participate in the tournament and all proceeds will go toward the center. The Center helps educate and train people in peaceful conflict resolution skills, according to the Center executive director.
Players can register for the tournament for only $25 or they can pay $30 and enjoy a nice lunch. There will also be an advance tournament and those with doubling cube experience can register to compete in it.
