Florida Backgammon Club Looking for New Members
Michael Shedroff, a resident of the Village of Country Club Hills is currently working to build the local Backgammon Club. The Club meets every Friday at Chula Vista Recreation Center and currently has about four to ten players per meeting. Shedroff would like to see at least thirty per meeting so the Club can host their own Backgammon tournament. Shedroff stated that a new player can learn the basics of the game in about twenty minutes and new players are welcome to join the club. Anyone who lives in the Village is welcome to begin learning the game and enjoying the company of the other members. Shedroff stated that those who like chess are sure to like Backgammon as the game is similar to chess.
Shedroff has been playing Backgammon for over sixty years and has played all over the world. Shedroff has traveled the world and in his travels he has played or seen the game played in different areas. Shedroff has seen the game in the Philippines, Korea, Germany and Israel. It would definitely be very interesting to learn the game of backgammon from such an experienced player.
