The Bellingham Backgammon Association is a new informal backgammon group in Washington and they are preparing to host their monthly backgammon tournament. The tournament is set to take place on October 18th.

The monthly tournaments take place every third Sunday of the month until March. A championship tournament is set to take place this April. The tournament format is set up to offer player’s three matches in the evening as well as giving beginners a chance to further their game. Experienced backgammon players are also welcome to compete.

This month’s event will take place at Pacific Martial Arts and will begin at 6:30pm. The Martial arts studio is strictly a ‘shoes-off’ facility so players should be sure to wear warm socks. This will make it fun for players and very informal. Players are also encouraged to bring snacks and non-alcoholic drinks to share. Players can enter the tournament for just $15.
