The Nevada Backgammon Association will be hosting a backgammon tournament this January that will take place at the Hyatt Regency on the Hudson in Jersey City, New Jersey. The tournament will take place on the 8th and continue until the 11th.

Players must bring their own backgammon board and are encouraged to enter the side events as well. The tournament will have the following side events: $50 Jackpot, $20 Jackpot, New York Doubles Tournament, Liberty Cup Masters, Limited Jackpot, Seniors Tournament and the New York Warm-up. Each of the side events has different entry fee amounts and rules.

The Main Event of the tournament will have a Championship Level which has a $400 entry fee with a 90% return. There is also an Intermediate level that has a $150 entry fee with an 85% return. Beginners will also be able to enter the tournament for a $30 entry fee with the possibility of an 80% return.

Each division will have a Main Flight, Consolation and a Last Chance. On January 9th players will be able to reenter in all divisions until the dinner break. Players will have many options during the tournament schedule to play backgammon and win prizes.
